Father Todd Schneider
Pastor
Fr. Todd came to Morris in 2013 after 12 years at his home parish in Sauk Centre, where he graduated from high school. Before being called to the seminary, Father studied political science at St. Cloud State University. He entered the seminary at St. John’s University. One of Father’s first assignments was as associate pastor here at Assumption.
Tanya Fischer
Principal, St. Mary’s School
I graduated from the University of Minnesota. Morris in 2002 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I recently complete (May 2018) my M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership through Southwest MN State University, Marshall. I have been married to my husband, Josh for 16 years and we have three children – Kaedan (14), Kendal (9), and Kristofer (3). I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and First grade in my previous yearS of teaching. I am very excited to be teaching 4th grade this year!
I believe all children can learn when in a caring and nurturing environment. Each child needs to know they are valued. It is my goal to get children to reach their fullest potential by showing them how valued they are in my eyes and in Christ’s eyes. I set high expectations for them so they challenge themselves to always do their best.
Jessica Iverson
Admin. Asst., St. Mary’s School
I grew up in Montevideo, MN and belonged to St. Joseph's Catholic Church until I moved to Morris ,MN in 1997 and became a member of The Assumption parish. I then married Steve Iverson in 1998, we have two adult children. I enjoy spending time at Church and with my family. Some of my favorite things to do when I'm not at church or with my family are swimming, biking, golfing, adventure hiking, sewing, crocheting, painting, creating crafts/wood projects, making rosary's, rock carvings and I love building snowmen or snow bears in the winter.
Nicole Berlinger
Faith Formation, K-10
Originally from Graceville, MN, Nicole and her husband Mark (native of Chokio) came to Morris 15 years ago shortly after their marriage. The couple share five children: Emma, Tyler, Kelly, Leah and Molly. When not chauffeuring her kids to and from events, Nicole enjoys interior decorating, refinishing furniture and reading (if she can stay awake!)
Linda Hodgson
Director, Renew Choir
Linda came to our parish in the mid-90’s, first as music teacher at St. Mary’s School and later adding Renew Choir Director to her resume. She shares her God given talents with husband Ken, who was professor of music and director of the University of Minnesota, Morris Concert Choir. In their free time, the couple volunteer at the humane society.
Cory Bedel
Custodian
From seven miles south in Hancock, Cory’s responsible for maintaining a 110-year-old church building and a century old school. He started working at Assumption in 2005. He says he originally came to our parish to get to work with the kids at St. Mary’s School and the hours are a perfect match to accommodate his second job as a coach in Hancock.
Teresa Gahm
Bookkeeper
Born Morris, Teresa is a lifelong member of Assumption. Here she was baptized, received her First Communion, was confirmed and married. Her husband Bill is also a lifelong member. Teresa has three children and six grandkids. When not crunching numbers, she enjoys scrapbooking, quilting and spending time with her family.
